On this page you can download a corner design ornament based on an illustration from the old book.

The book is called 'How to paint flowers, scrolls and fancy borders for up-to-date show cards, posters, display signs and decorating', published in 1915. When we first came across this fancy corner design, we were fascinated by its simple beauty and instantly knew that it would be included in our ‘Corner ornaments’ collection in a short time. Although the design has been drawn as a classic corner ornament, there is something in its appearance as if it came right out of a story of the fairy-tale princess.

We wish, you too fell in love at first glance with this corner ornament design as we did, and we are positive that you will manage to think of some way how to apply it. Well, it would be a real shame to keep such a beautiful design unused, wouldn’t it? The ornament design is symmetrical, so it is enough to draw only half of the ornament and the other half is obtained by mirror copying. You can use it independently, turn it into a border, and if you arrange four of these designs, you can get ornaments in the shape of a square, rhombus, i.e., diamond, etc. Depending on how the designs are turned, the square ornament may or may not have a blank space in the middle.
