There are many reasons that have caused the eagle population to decline. Shooting, poisoning, scarcity of food and loss of habitat altogether have had devastating consequences on the eagle population throughout the world. Luckily, there are many laws and protection measures that have been applied to save these birds from extinction so their population is slowly increasing again. However, it is unlikely that it will ever be as abundant as before humans began to compete for space and resources.
