If you are drawing a larger ornament of a similar style (for example interlaced ornament), and in the process a blank surface of similar shape appears, you can decorate that surface with one of these two floral ornaments. An interesting possibility is also to make these ornaments square in shape (more precisely, to obtain an octagonal ornament), and this is achieved if you simply arrange 4 of them at right angles. This way, you can even make a repeating pattern from them. As you can see, although simple in design, these ornaments allow you to enjoy creating all their variations, too!
Both ornaments are well drawn in Inkscape vector software and simply painted black. As always, inside the files there is an unpainted version of both ornaments in case you want to color them yourselves.
