Horses represent a symbol of freedom, travel, endurance… they are part of mythology, stories, folklore… most people adore these animals and have a romanticized opinion about them, but the reality is much different and far sadder. People have used horses in their wars for thousands of years, millions of these poor animals have been wounded and killed in battlefields, suffering so much pain. Also, they have been exhausted from work, cold and hunger and even served as food during periods of human-induced famine… This is shocking, isn’t it? And the list of all the atrocities inflicted on them could go on and on. Although it may seem that our attitude is depressing, we have deliberately exposed it in order to break the hypocrisy that reigns among people, i.e. to ignore and silence the bad things that people have done throughout history for their own selfish reasons. It should be clear to you that we have mentioned only some of the evil that humans have inflicted upon horses as a species, not to mention that today there are hardly any horses left to live freely in nature but only on farms that either love and take care of them or breed and deliver them to butcher shops in the end.
