This marquetry ornamental design is based on an illustration from the old book Geschichte der renaissance in Deutschland (History of renaissance in Germany, Lubke Wilhelm, published 1914).

The book notes that the ornament illustration was made based on a wooden panel decorated in marquetry technique dated from 1575. The pattern is very beautiful, and we are offering it to you as a free ornamental design. So, it is up to your wish and imagination how you will use it.
