On this page you can download the interlaced ornament called Panelled design.

We have found it in an old book (Arts and crafts for amateurs, by Fred Miller, published 1901) and named it after the inscription beneath the image of the design. In the book, this interlaced ornament is categorized among the designs intended to decorate leather products  (box covers, book covers...). It is found in the book section called "Bookbinding and Leather Work", and the caption under the picture reads “Panelled work. Design, modelled on sixteenth-century work. To be incised and embosed”.

In the picture you can see what the design looks like, and if you can think of any good idea to use it, its 2D CAD (.dwg) and vector (.eps  and .svg) file formats are at your disposal.

As it can be seen, it is a rectangular design which consists of an interlaced border inside of which there is an ornament. Its appearance gives it a universal use-value in all the fields of applied art. The interlaced border and the central ornament are separated, so you can use them independently.
